“I’ll see you again, right, Tanita-san?”
Hachi’s life isn’t going anywhere. And hasn’t been, for the past five years.
Abandoned, isolated, and left with nothing but beer to drown out the memories of the Metro and his music, it looks like he’s running out of time.
Until Danji shows up. An inkling similarly down on his luck, but willing to show Hachi a better life and a shoulder to lean on, he pulls Hachi out of his rut and back into the light.
And then he falls into his own personal hell. Secrets never told, scars unhealed and bleeding out. And it’s up to Hachi to catch him this time.
He’s not alone in this endeavor, though. Two familiar faces from the past are on the way, one kind, bright, and bold- looking out for a former friend (and lover)- and one bitter, cold, and seemingly hiding a secret, whose face Hachi can clearly remember…
Four stories, four people, intertwined together through shared sorrows, hopes and love. Maybe it was meant to be, but who am I to tell you?
